Jim Lobb started the real estate division of Weber Rose, which is now one of the select few in Kentucky to be nationally recognized by Chambers USA. Jim is also a member of the firm's Executive Committee where he oversees the firm’s day to day management. In the 34 years Jim has been practicing real estate law, he has been integrally involved in numerous major real estate development projects, including large retail developments, medical facilities, office complexes, and other business ventures. Jim is well known in the region for his work in real estate development, lending, closings, subdivision and condominium issues, and real estate tax deferred exchanges. He is a frequent lecturer at business and legal seminars, dealing extensively with boundary issues, surveys, easements, and adverse possession law, as well as title search, title insurance, and other real estate topics. His practice also includes environmental law and business law.
Jim has served in leadership roles for many community organizations over the years, including serving as past Chairman of the Kentucky State Parks Foundation, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and the Northeast YMCA. He continues to serve on the Kentucky State Parks Foundation Board of Directors, which gives him a good excuse to visit many of Kentucky’s state parks with his wife. When he isn't closing deals Jim likes to travel the world and collect rocks, minerals, and fossils. Jim has been known to take family, friends, and clients hiking, kayaking, and white water rafting.
